The Association of Agricultural Research Institutions in the Near East and North Africa (AARINENA) participated in the event titled “Accelerating Action: Unveiling the Future of Arab Friends of Champions 12.3 for Food Loss and Waste Reduction.” This important initiative, held on [insert date], brought together leaders from across the region to address the critical issue of food loss and waste, aligning with the global effort to meet Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Target 12.3 by 2030.
Champions 12.3 is a coalition of executives from governments, businesses, international organizations, research institutions, farmer groups, and civil society dedicated to inspiring ambition, mobilizing action, and accelerating progress toward achieving SDG 12.3, which aims to halve food waste at the retail and consumer levels and reduce food losses across production and supply chains.
