The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Jordan, and Jordan’s Ministry of Agriculture have successfully concluded their joint project aimed at transforming agrifood systems to be more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.
This important initiative has provided support to approximately 1,700 farmers and families, including both Jordanian nationals and Syrian refugees, by enhancing food security, strengthening climate resilience, and generating new employment opportunities.
The Association of Agricultural Research Institutions in the Near East and North Africa (AARINENA) participated in the project’s closing workshop, underscoring the significance of regional cooperation in advancing sustainable agrifood systems.
