AARINENA actively participated in the Extraordinary GFAiR Steering Committee Meeting held on August 13, 2025. Dr. Rida Shibli represented AARINENA during this pivotal session.
The meeting introduced Joanna Kane-Potaka as the new Executive Secretary of GFAiR. Dr. Shibli, alongside other key stakeholders, engaged in discussions on the organization’s strategic direction, fundraising priorities, and the Global NAS Consortium’s core activities.
Dr. Shibli emphasized the importance of collaboration, capacity-building, and translating research into tangible benefits for AARINENA member countries. The session concluded with plans for Joanna Kane-Potaka to hold one-on-one meetings with executive and steering committee members to gather inputs for GFAiR’s future initiatives.
