AARINENA Strengthens Youth and Climate Collaboration through Partnership with GGF

Amman, Jordan – Jan 5, 2025

AARINENA has signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Green Generation Foundation (GGF) as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with active institutions working in the fields of sustainable agriculture, climate change, and youth empowerment across the NENA region.

The agreement was signed on behalf of AARINENA by Dr. Rida Shibli, Executive Secretary of the Association, and on behalf of the Green Generation Foundation by Mr. Abdallah Dreiat, Board Member of the Foundation.

The agreement aims to enhance collaboration between the two parties through knowledge exchange, joint programs and activities, capacity-building initiatives, and the promotion of youth engagement in agricultural research, innovation, and climate action. It also seeks to strengthen the link between scientific research, community-based action, and policy dialogue related to sustainability and climate resilience.

The Green Generation Foundation (GGF) is a youth-led, non-profit organization based in Jordan, dedicated to empowering young people in the areas of environmental protection, climate change, and sustainable development. The Foundation focuses on building youth leadership capacities and promoting meaningful youth participation in addressing environmental and climate-related challenges at local, national, and regional levels.

Both parties emphasized that this partnership reflects AARINENA’s continued commitment to expanding its regional network and collaborating with youth-driven and community-based organizations, in support of agricultural innovation, climate-resilient food systems, and the development of a new generation of leaders in the region.
