AARINENA participated in the INFTEXPO 2026 Scientific Conference on “Smart Food Manufacturing and Food Security,” held alongside the fourth edition of the International Food and Food Technology Exhibition (INFTEXPO 2026) in Amman, Jordan.
The three-day international event, held from 4 to 6 September 2026 at the Amman International Motor Show, brought together around 200 local, Arab and international companies from 25 countries, alongside researchers, industry leaders, policymakers and technology innovators. The exhibition and accompanying conference focused on food security, technological solutions for food manufacturing, production-line automation, supply-chain sustainability and innovations connecting scientific research with industrial applications.
Representing AARINENA, Dr. Rida A. Shibli, Executive Secretary, participated as a speaker in the scientific conference, contributing AARINENA’s perspective on strengthening agricultural research and innovation, regional cooperation, and the application of innovative and climate-smart solutions to build more resilient and sustainable agrifood systems across the NENA region.
The conference provided a platform for dialogue on the growing role of artificial intelligence, smart technologies and innovation in food production and manufacturing, while exploring how stronger links between scientific research and the food industry can contribute to food security and more efficient and sustainable value chains.
AARINENA’s participation reflects its commitment to bridging agricultural research, technology and practical application, and to fostering partnerships that support innovation throughout the agrifood value chain. Such engagement is particularly important as countries across the NENA region seek solutions to shared challenges related to climate change, resource scarcity, food security and sustainable agricultural development.
Through its participation in INFTEXPO 2026, AARINENA reaffirmed its commitment to promoting knowledge exchange, regional collaboration and research-driven innovation toward more sustainable, competitive and resilient agrifood systems.
