On Sep 21, the Association of Agricultural Research Institutions in the Near East and North Africa (AARINENA), in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Environment Network, hosted an informative webinar titled “The History of Climate Conferences COP: 1995-2024”. The event was presented by Eng. Imad Saad, an expert in environmental sustainability and climate action.
The webinar provided an in-depth overview of the key developments, milestones, and outcomes of United Nations Climate Change Conferences (COP), from the first meeting in 1995 up to the present day. Eng. Imad Saad discussed the evolution of international climate negotiations, the increasing urgency of addressing global warming, and the crucial agreements made at various COP events, including the Kyoto Protocol, the Paris Agreement, and recent advancements leading up to COP 28.
