AARINENA signed a strategic partnership agreement today with the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) during the Annual Steering Committee Meeting of the Global Forum on Agricultural Innovation and Research (GFAiR) held in Abu Dhabi in a hybrid format.
The agreement, signed by Dr. Rida Shibli, Executive Secretary of AARINENA, and Dr. Aggrey Agumya, Executive Director and Head of Mission of FARA, aims to strengthen collaboration between National Agricultural Research Systems (NARS) in the Near East and North Africa (NENA) region and their counterparts in Africa, fostering knowledge sharing, joint research initiatives, and capacity-building programs across the two regions.
The signing of this partnership reflects AARINENA’s ongoing commitment to building strong regional and intercontinental networks that advance agricultural research and innovation, while supporting the collective mission of GFAiR to coordinate global agricultural research efforts and accelerate innovation for sustainable food systems.
