AARINENA association participated in the training course “Nanotechnology Uses and Applications in Agriculture” which was held by the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC) in collaboration with the University of Petra from September 3rd to 7th, 2023. During the course, trainees were introduced to nanotechnology techniques and their significant applications in the field of agriculture. They also learned about the latest devices, tools used in agriculture, and relevant measurement standards.
One of the course’s main focuses was on the preparation of nanomaterials and their uses in fertilizers. It is possible to produce large quantities of fertilizers using nanomaterials, which facilitate the delivery of nutrients to plants in small amounts. This helps save time and effort, in addition to their role in environmental preservation, leading to a green environment and a better future in terms of food security.
Researchers from various research centers, the Ministry of Agriculture, and universities, including researchers from the National Center for Agricultural Research, participated in the course. Participants also conducted an informative visit to Petra University, which resulted in gaining more knowledge and networking opportunities among the researchers.
