A tripartite meeting in the capital, Amman, discussed efforts to achieve agricultural development and Arab food security and achieve the goals and objectives of sustainable development 2030 in the Arab region, especially those related to the agricultural sector.
The meeting, which was held at the regional office of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD), for the Arab Mashreq countries/Amman, included Dr. Rida Shibli, the Executive Secretary of the Association of Agricultural Research Institutions in the Near East & North Africa (AARINENA), and the Dr. Fadi Jaber, Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for Food Industries and the head of the Regional Office The organization in the Arab Mashreq region, Eng. Fida’a Al-Rawabdeh, within the framework of the organization’s directions to coordinate with all partners in the region.
The meeting discussed ways of cooperation and coordination between the three institutions to achieve their goals in the service of its member states, where a set of programs and projects that could be implemented jointly were discussed, including the establishment of an Arab agricultural information portal that includes the three institutions, to enhance the partnership between the specialized Arab networks managed by the organization, and those managed by AARINENA and The Arab Federation for Food Industries to maximize benefit and provide better services to member countries.
