Mr. Vincent Martin, Director, Office of Innovation, FAO and Mr. Rida Shibli, Secretary General of AARINENA welcomed the attendees and opened the webinar. Mr. Selvaraju Ramasamy, Senior Agricultural Officer, Office of Innovation, FAO, delivered an enlightening keynote address, outlining the Innovation platforms as a powerful tool for knowledge sharing: “Role of Agricultural Innovation System in strengthening multi-actor innovation platforms”,the significance of technological advancements in ensuring sustainable growth and improved productivity in the date palm sector. Attendees were given an exclusive first look at the platform and mobile application through a live demonstration by Mr. Mohammad Malkawi, Software & IT Expert, Jordan and Mr. Mazen Sheikh, Software and IT Expert, Yemen. The user-friendly interface, equipped with powerful tools and analytics, left participants impressed with the potential to streamline operations, optimize resource management, and enhance overall productivity.
