Thursday, June 10, 2021, the Association of Agricultural Research Institutions in the Near East and North Africa (AARINENA) signed a partnership agreement with the Specific Union for Farmers Women – Jordan.
The agreement, signed by the Executive Secretary of AARINENA, Dr. Rida Shibli, and the President of the Specific Union for Farmers Women – Jordan, Eng. Zainab Al-Momany aims to develop and support the agricultural sector by framing and strengthening research areas and training youth and women in joint projects.
The agreement provides for strengthening cooperation in the fields of research and training for women and youth by inviting each party to the other in order to participate in training programs of common interest and to cooperate using the various devices and tools available to both parties to implement and facilitate joint work and to provide technical and economic advisory services and technical support.
Dr. Shibli focused on the communication and cooperation with institutions of common interest in promoting agricultural and rural development and developing agricultural research and technology inside and outside the region with the aim of promoting the development process and advancing the agricultural sector and its farmers.
Eng. Zainab indicated to the importance of building partnerships with various parties in the research and scientific fields and valued the joint bilateral cooperation between the two institutions in building a real partnership.
