A partnership agreement was signed between Iktifaa and the Association of Agricultural Research Institutions in the Near East and North Africa (AARINENA), on enhancing information exchange, scientific research and the development of agricultural technology.
This step comes to benefit from the experiences of the AARINENA Association to build a stable ground towards supporting Sudanese farmers, increasing local production of basic products such as wheat and grains, and working on designing a food policy towards achieving food security in Sudan.
The AARINENA Association aims to increase the self-reliance of food and agriculture, and to improve the general well-being of the people of the Near East and North Africa region while preserving and improving the productive capacity of the natural resource base.
