FAO and AARINENA organized a series of capacity-building activities related to the research, technology, and innovation date palm platform in the coming few months starting with the current capacity-building activity on date palm challenges and opportunities in the NENA region on December 16, 2021. This online training webinar meeting focused on the challenges and opportunities of the date palm sector in the NENA region and sharing information, knowledge, and experiences from experts in the field of date palm. This involved a valuable presentations from the expertise and consultants in the field of date palm with interactive discussions regarding the challenges that stakeholders face in the NENA region such as the red palm weevil, the procedures to reduce the spread of it, and other related topics.
