Attendees: Date Palm Stakeholders in NENA Region – 14 Experts from Gulf countries and Organisations

AARINENA held the seventh of the series of meetings of “country by country” that involved excellent discussions with a lot of date palm experts from each country of the NENA region.

This meeting was with the Gulf countries and Organizations (ACSAD – AOAD – ICARDA), this meeting did according to the previous meeting of “Date Palm Expert and Key Persons in the Region” on June 6, 2022, and as agreed to hold a meeting “country by country” to discuss further collaboration and engagement in the established date palm innovation platform by AARINENA and FAO.

This involved good discussions with researchers and farmers were interested in date palm research and innovation. And we attached a flyer that outlines and explains further information on the date palm innovation platform, in addition to sharing the link for date palm innovation platform: (https://aarinena.org/palm/).

During this meeting, they discussed the different essential parts of the platform (registration, forums, resources, stakeholders, and projects) for the date palm network of AARINENA. Also, to have another meeting later with the date palm farmers from different organizations.
