Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Association of Agricultural Research Institutions in the Near East and North Africa (AARINENA) collaborated to establish and operationalize “a research, technology and innovation date palm platform” for enhancing multi-stakeholders collaboration in agricultural R&D, facilitating interaction and collaboration within and between network of farmers, governmental and non-governmental service providers, policymakers, researchers, private sectors & other stakeholders, and utilizing of any new knowledge (technological or other) in an economic or social process. This was the second meeting of capacity-building activities related to the research, technology, and innovation date palm platform on date palm technologies and knowledge sharing in the NENA region which was held on December 23, 2021.
